Match pallet type (wooden vs plastic) and load rating to what you’re storing and how it moves through your warehouse. Crates and drums are worth standardising across a site so handling equipment and storage racking stay consistent.
Strapping and stretch wrap
Strapping secures loads that need rigidity (cartons on a pallet, bundled stock), while stretch wrap is better for irregular loads and dust/moisture protection. Many warehouses use both together.
Buying in bulk
Industrial packaging is typically bought on ongoing supply arrangements rather than one-off purchases — consistent stock and wholesale pricing matter more here than for occasional retail buyers.
